Sunday Chat

by James Roscoe » Sun Sep 22, 2013 11:36 am

I will be on a boat out on the Potomac this afternoon. If anyone else has an excuse feel free to miss chat. It's been pretty empty of late. Maybe the turning of the leaves will bring some people back, although my weekend schedule remains busy. Quite frankly I am happy to pas on my crown if anyone wants it. In any event, please feel free to use the room in my absence. Here are the times when the fun gets started: at 4 p.m. Eastern Time; 3 p.m. Central Time; 2 p.m. Mountain Time; 1 p.m. Pacific Time; 9 p.m. in the UK; 10 p.m. in Italy, France, Germany, and Sweden; 11 p.m. in Finland and Israel; 6 a.m. Monday in Sydney and environs; and 8 a.m. Monday in New Zealand. I believe these are all corrected for standard time changes. If I am off, let me know. Please let me know when the time changes in your neck of the woods so I remember to make the appropriate changes.

The fun starts HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

I had trouble getting in, but got in by downloading and reinstalling the Java SE version 7 upgrade 40. even then I had to try it twice.

I logged in at 4:26 and the room was empty. So the question is, have we reached the point where chat should be abandoned? I certainly understand if people have other priorities.

I was chatting with Bob, then Anders came in and I was there until after 4:30, because I missed the first 5 minutes of the Bills-Jets game.

I was with Anders and Howie until my daughter called and needed me to bring her some medicine. She was at work and not feeling well so I took her what she needed/wanted.

New Zealand starts daylight saving time on 29 September, going forward 1 hour. UTC +1.

Australia starts daylight saving on 5 October, in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, all going to UTC +11, and South Australia and Broken Hill NSW, going to UTC + 10.5. It is not observed in Queensland, Western Australia or the Northern Territory.
Cheers,
Neil Courtney
