WTN: 2011 Kutch Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

by David M. Bueker » Wed Mar 12, 2014 8:40 pm

This is a fabulous Pinot Noir. It has all the florality, red fruit and freshness you could ask for, and is blessedly low in alcohol. It is neither thin nor underripe, but instead a delicate, yet persistent expression of Pinot Noir that is at a precise balance point. I only have one more, and I want to let it develop, but I know that I do not have the willpower to allow it to happen.

Sounds lovely. Another pinot producer that's on my list to locate/try--not that there's any money left after my recent investments in Rivers-Marie, Bedrock and Reynvaan.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

Anthill, Littorai, Rhys?

No Anthill. One Littorai in a restaurant that made me go Oh yez I get it, and one Rhys I bought on Winebid but it was their most generic bottling. Leaving California and my California-centric wine drinking friends behind has been slightly detrimental to my wine-tasting career. In the days before WLDG, on one of the early wine boards, I was nicknamed the Queen of Pinot, but you'd never think that of me now.
