WTN: Romance and Riesling

2007 Mount Eden Reserve Chardonnay
Corked!

2004 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese
AP#9 for those who are counting. Crystalline purity is the first thing that comes to mind. The combination of bright citrus and saline minerality underscored by steely acidity is about as precise as one can find without a CNC machine. Fantastic Riesling that almost makes me forget the disaster of the night's first bottle.

Nice recovery. I've had a bunch of great bottles of the #9 and still have a few bottles of the #10 that have been a touch less exciting thus far.

Your prior comments on the #9 is why I opened one.

10 year old spatlese is such a joy most of the time.
