2016 Massican Annia - USA, California, Napa Valley (6/18/2017)
Needed something fresh and bracing for a hot, humid day, and the Massican Annia did the trick. Pear, a touch of citrus and fresh herbs all mingled on the nose and palate, providing the exact hit of refreshment I was looking for.

Good depth of fruit and solid acidity add up to short to mid-term potential for this wine. It's also well priced for the new generation of California white blends.

Okay, this had me laughing out loud. I love your titles.

But I'm unfamiliar with the wine. Annia's a proprietary name?

Yes. It's a blend of Ribolla Gialla, Tocai Friuliano, and a little bit of Chardonnay.

Thanks for the note. Jenise! Massican is very much worth looking into. I have been smitten by the wines.
