WTN: Two Bucerchiales

2010 Fattoria Selvapiana Chianti Rùfina Riserva Bucerchiale – ripish nose, though good fruit. Sweet entry and lacking a bit of acidity in the finish. Perhaps best drunk relatively early.

2011 Fattoria Selvapiana Chianti Rùfina Riserva Bucerchiale - quite different a more classical presentation with excellent fruit but without the ripeness, well balanced and finishing crisply and with good length. I think that this vintage will age much more gracefully.

This is one of my favourite Chiantis - I am still drinking the 1995 with pleasure, and wanted to check out a couple of the more recent vintages in my cellar. I am adding the 2013 in the near future.

Thanks for the reminder that I have to pick up more Bucerchiale.
