WTN: "Frazier has left the building"

2010 Frazier Momento a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was quite nice tonight with excellent rib eye on the grill. Lots of herb and black fruit on the nose, the palate further defines the fruit as black currant, with the herb a mix of rosemary and maybe oregano, or not. abv of %14.5 and very glad I have a few bottles more. Very tough thick plastic drip/dip capsule not to my liking.

Also opened last nite a Bordeaux 2002 Fontenil that was holding up well and quite enjoyable with mild secondary flavors and mostly resolved tannins. drink up.

Thanks for that. I have a single of 2002 Fontenil lurking in the cellar. Will dig it out this fall.

The black currant and herb thing sounds more like cab franc--wonder if that was in the blend.
