2012 Alfred Merkelbach Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese Urglück - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (1/7/2019)
Deep, grounded, evocative, pure, searching, finding, elementary, transportive, meaningful, enticing, stimulating, heartening...

The soul of the Mosel and the Urziger Wurzgarten lives in this wine. It’s there, waiting to receive you. Don’t hurry. It will be there whenever you choose to come to it, now or later.

Small piece of the larger Urziger Wurzgarten Vineyard. Pre-1971 wine law name for the specific plot of vines.

But am I correct in remembering that the word 'urgluck' does not actually appear on the bottle?

Only for those who know!

It’s in Kermit Lynch size font on the 2012.

The 2015 UW Auslese ‘Lang Pichter’ is without visible attribution. One has to know the AP number.

Sounds great
Had the '15 Auslese Urgluck and quite enjoyed, but for my tastes I'm sure '12 Spatlese would be even better
