Leather, earth and smoke and some cherry fruit on the nose.
Cherry cough syrup, raspberry, spicy, good acidity, with some bitterness toward the end.
A very short finish.
While the wine was still enjoyable, I found it much lighter, perhaps evern somewhat diluted, compared to previous vintages. Just didn't seem to have the richness and guts of previous bottlings.
