The colour is a deep red, but light in hue (i.e. very see through) - just like it should be.
The nose is rather stern despite the decanting, but that is typical for this producer. It is very red toned and vegetal with lingonberries being prominent, yet it also has a very ripe, almost strawberry-like, character. It is earthy, mineral, almost metallic and salty.
The palate has very high acidity and is more tannic than expected from the grape (but once again, is typical for the producer). The acids and tannins somewhat mask the fruit, but the fruit is very ripe and sweet. The palate is very fresh and moreish.
The aftertaste is almost interminable, though fruit sluts will say it is tart. A very good wine and IMO typical of the area and the producer. Very unspoofulated.
What is it? I can't promise a T shirt (the printing of it costs like hell over here!) for whoever comes closest, but if shipping costs aren't prohibitive, I'll send one bottle of the wine in question!

-O-(p.s. I haven't entered this onto my page of CT so no one can cheat, lol!!)
