Just chiming in. The 2005 premiers are out of sight but many of the so-called lesser houses are real bargains even accounting for the terrible dollar. Since I buy wines to drink with dinner this makes me very happy. I can still buy good dinner wines for under $15. Also makes me think that all that talk about a world wine glut was not just talk. Still waiting for the califonia wines to come down in price though. :?

We had a very nice 2005 Chateau La Marche-Canon this past weekend. After a couple of hours in the decanter it offered up some very nice raspberry, leather, and tobacco notes. At $18 it was a heck of a buy. I'm hoping that the '05 Bordeaux shows a lot of quality at the low end, just like the '00 vintage did.
