First tried this at Vinexpo 2006 in Hong Kong where I thought it was very good. Initially, light, disjointed and very tart. Poured a new glass and left it for an hour. Much better after the decanting. Deep violet. Very attractive nose of pine, a bit of cherry, eucalyptus, and a very slight hint of creamy oak. Medium-bodied. Dry and juicy with ripe, crunchy fruit. There's a streak of acidity running through the wine. Savory, with a big, meaty finish. The tannins seems to have melted away for the most part. Despite the rather subdued tannins, this looks like it has the structure for medium-term aging. Very good and drinking nicely now but will probably show better in two years or so.
