We don't often get trocken wines in BC, let alone aged wines, so when a mere case of this arrived at a great price, I was quick to serve it with a salmon dinner last night. Lovely herbal and mineral nose with some citrus notes. Lovely pure palate, with lime, lemon, honeydew melon and slate notes. Great balance here, as it has enough fruit (and RS) to leave a fairly dry, lingering finish. If all trocken wines were this balanced, they'd be much more popular outside Germany! (A-)
