Tasted at WineStyles last night.

Quite enjoyable, but boy this badly needed a cheese plate and some bread.

Clear dark red. Somewhat reticent nose-fruit, spice and earth.
There's a whole mix of flavors here: I found the leather and tobacco I almost "expect" in Italian wines :?: but unlike darker Chainti Classico, the melange of fruit flavors dominated. I tasted blueberry, currant, a hjint of raspberry. What made the wine unique is the strong note of licorish. Very soft and smooth on the palette-no biting tannins, but at least a hit of acid to avoid acidity. Solid 3* wine, especially for $16.00
