Short notes from Wednesday dinner.

Brampton Viognier 2005 - South Africa. Muted nose. Sweetish. Nice and crisp. Usual bitter finish. Still don't like Viognier.

Prahova Pinot Noir 2002 - From Romania. This is low level wine from Prahova. Soft, lots of strawberry. Simple, Beaujolais-like. Not bad for cheap wine.

Yalumba Barossa Bush Vine Grenache 2004 - Very dark. Very fruity, berryish, soft. Medium-bodied with a dryish finish. Well balanced. Easy, drink now style. Good.

Chateau Cruzeau St Emilion 2002 - Soft, dry. A bit earthy. Nice fruity finish. Simple. Drink now.

Bodegas Hidalgos Alameda Cream Sherry - Oxidized, walnuts, honey. Not bad.
