  • 2005 Kutch Pinot Noir Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (10/20/2007)

Medium in color with a very lovely and spicy, red fruit nose. Not sure how to describe the nose, really..but lovely. This is one elegant wine. Lorena described it as `alive,' with its balanced acidity and red fruit and a bit of tannin that hits you at the end. More in the style of a W-S or a Littorai than a Siduri or a Loring. We lingered over this when lunch was over, and the server enjoyed a few sips with us. Outstanding. LC 4.0+ (92 pts.)
