d'Arenberg.
McLaren Vale.
A blend of Riesling (63 per cent), Sauvignon Blanc (16), Roussanne (13) and Marsanne (eight).
Light spices and citrus on the nose.
Honeyed, creamy, quite tangy acidity, peppery, lemon and grapefruit, juicy and perfumed. A fairly big and intense wine, however, with time, the perfumed aspect grew in prominence and became a bit annoying.
Screwcap closure.
Purchased at $ 13.95 (Canadian...although, nowdays, I am not sure why I continue to stress that it is Canadian, since our currencies are pretty much equal).
