WTN: Gunderloch Jean Baptiste Riesling Kabinett 2003

by Bruce Hayes » Sat Oct 27, 2007 12:01 pm

Rheinhessen.

Light golen-yellow color.

Lovely nose of petrol, honey and spices.

Crisp, good zippy acidity, grapefruit, lemon and tart green apple, honeyed, peppery, spicy, slightly rounded. The wine seems to be lacking the usual intensity I have come to expect from enjoying this wine over the years, and hollows out in the middle. Light bodied, but still quite refreshing.

Peppery and mouthwatering tangy lemon on the fairly long finish.

Purchased at $15.45 (Canadian).

I think Bob got it in one. I will be interested to see what the Riesling heads have to say. David? Bill H.? Robin?
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
