WTN: 2005 Dehlinger Chardonnay...A Lame Note

2005 Dehlinger Chardonnay
Dang this is good. Somewhat simple but after just having the 05 Aubert Lauren last night, which was good but very heavy and a bit alcoholic ... this Dehlinger is a nice change. Great toasty oak along with rich pears and apples. Just enough rocks to make it interesting. The acids are somewhat light but certainly present.

I guess that note is okay. Sitting here drinking it, I am finding it more inspiring.

Never have had the pleasure of a Dehlinger chardonnay, and your note makes me wonder why the heck not--I certainly love Sonoma chards, especially in cooler years (not that I can tell which are or are not any more.) Just rarely see them available at retail, I guess.

This was my first Dehlinger Chard...and now I am a little sad I sold 2 of my bottles to Dietz ... Not really ... I think he and LC will really enjoy it. I have never seen one on a shelf. Only direct.
