Interesting! I've been working on a method to detect these in dog treats (of all things). Mine wouldn't be nearly as portable, though....

I missed that earlier thread. Didn't know you worked with Graham Cooks! We've been looking into getting a DESI source for one of our instruments.

Since our email addresses are pretty well hidden by this software, you wouldn't know of my institutional affiliation unless you Googled my name. To say that I work with Graham is a bit strong: we have offices in the same building and I see him in various committees and faculty meetings. Good luck with the DESI source, though. It's a very impressive technique, though Graham could sell freezers to penguins if he put his mind to it.
