WTN: Domaines Schlumberger "Les Princes Abbes" Pinot Gris 2005

Alsace.

Moderate dark yellow-golden in the glass.

A clean nose, with citrus and bees wax.

Round and oily in the mouth, green apples, pear and apricot, fairly intense, spicy, honeyed, good acidity.

Slightly bitter on the finish.

An enjoyable wine, but I found the richness and the bitterness started to become a bit tiring after a while. A wine to enjoy with food.

Purchased at $17.95 (Canadian).
