Boy was I wrong about this a few months ago. It came across as much bigger than earlier versions, dominated by black fruits. It has almost completely changed. The aromatics were singing as soon as I pulled the cork: ethereal red fruits, intensity without heft ... the real thing. The palate is still a bit tight, and the acidity is prominent; but this is definitely headed in the right direction. The fruit profile has shaded over to red, with some hints of black in the background. Decanting is probably a mistake at this point; it shut down pretty hard after about an hour. Glad I bought it blind as I would never have gone back for more.
