Pulled this for dinner at the local bistro. Opened at home and poured a small glass. The aromas immediately jumped out. Wonderful baking spices with a distinct clove like element were present, with dark cherry in the background. The palate is sweet red berrie fruit, cola and a touch of creamy wood still lingering. Good acidity presence as the wine paired quite well with the food (roasted pork chop) . A super silky texture makes this wine so seductive. Excellent length on the finish with a touch of heat in the throat, though this dissapates as the bottle is emptied. The structure should allow further aging, though this is so enjoyable at the moment. My only complaint is the wine did not change like great PNs do. The aroma/flavor profile stayed pretty consistent over the course of the night. Nonetheless, a wonderfully crafted wine by Greg P.
