Santa Lucia Highlands, CA
$28.99 at Bassin's (Macarthur Beverages, DC)
14.2% alcohol
Pretty red-purple color. Red cherries on nose and palate. No cola or funk. Lengthy finish worth savoring. Proper balance of fruit and acid. No noticeable heat. May buy again if still available. Smooth and flavorful.

Thanks for the note. Seems like this is a consistently solid wine every year.
