1995 Paul Jaboulet Aîné Crozes-Hermitage Domaine de Thalabert - France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Crozes-Hermitage (12/4/2007)
I've been following this wine through some serious ups and downs over the last 10 years. This bottle is one of the ups. Bright cherry, earth, a touch of Rhone funk (but not in any way overwhelming) and rosemary light up the nose, and all come together on the palate in an integrated, high acid (!) package that make for a very promising food accompaniment. We'll see how it goes later. This is not for fans of larger-scaled wines, but I'm very happy with it so far.

We like to drink most vintages inbetween 5 & 10 years. Glad yours is still doing fine.

I think it's as ready as it will ever be. The fruit is starting to separate from the acid/tannin. I like it where it is now, but in a couple of years it may be unbalanced to the acid side.
