Ah, one of those silly christmas articles. And this one really is silly, fluffy and light - the premise is simply absurd. Also shows a small understanding of genetics if they think it is but a small step from the Pinot Noir genome to genetically modified Pinot Noir in the vineyard!
Best wishes

Knights fighting to rescue the damsel in distress............Gladiators upholding their honour..... (non) experts discussing terroir/ wine! There is a constant terroir war over on the other place!!! Tim, dare you to post this there.

Which "other" place? There are a few.
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind

Re: the other place

Thanks, Bob, for the suggestion. Lets see what happens.

I think that the article is quite funny, even if it is based on dubious science. I might have thought this British only humour, but Jamie doesn't like, so....?

It is certainly a lot better than their "serious" articles on wine which seem exclusively interested in it as a business proposition, like shampoo, rather than as an aesthetic article, like music and painting (on which two subject they are much better IMHO).
