Bright cherry red in the glass.

Not much on the nose at first, but eventually revealed a very nice nose of sweet cherry fruit, spicy and fragrant wood.

The wine took quite a bit of time to open up and fill out and was rather disappointing for the first few glasses, quite thin, very tart, tangy cherry fruit and not much else. About halfway through the bottle, it began to open up quite nicely, with cherry and raspberry fruit, good acidity, leather, floral notes, good weight and body.

I will make sure to decant this the next time I open one.

Purchased at $20.80 (Canadian).
