Had lots of wine over the holidays, but always in social settings where I wasn't comfortable doing the geeky thing of jotting down my impressions. So I just wanted to note that three 2003 red Bordeaux that as recently as six months ago were still closed have opened up and are drinking beautifully: L'Aiguilhe, Potensac, and Meyney. The L'Aiguilhe is 80% merlot, 20% cab franc, a real pleaser, fruity and sweet, but with stuffing. The Meyney was classy and delicious, definitely a keeper. So, if anyone has been storing these for much later consumption, it may be worth trying a bottle at this point.
