WTN: Bruno Clair Marsannay Rose 2006

by Bill Hooper » Sat Feb 02, 2008 9:52 pm

As it it my favorite Rose, I always look forward to this wine every year (despite the fact that its late release means I'm drinking it in the colder months.) It is beautiful yet again! Strawberry, cranberry, and orange fruit (and high-toned at that), the characteristic rosewater that I've come to expect from Bruno Clair (in both Marsannays Rouge et Rose) and cold-steel acidity. Keeping form with the vintage, It is quite tangy and zesty, much more so than 2005 which was more supple and textured. A classic style that fans of provencal rose should really get into. 12,5% alc. $25

Glad to see your notes. I may be able to purchase this in Raleigh. I have enjoyed past vintages.
