Debbie made her famous chilli, so I will be drinking beer with the Super Bowl. Just came back from the LCBO with five different cans: three from Germany and two from Canada.

How about you?

Belgian beer! Tripel Karmelheit, Piraat and a saison I can't recall the name of.

Sorry Bruce - my non-sports mind immediately thought of big game (e.g. moose, elk) stew in a super-size bowl - and I was going to answer with "Foch" or "Norton".

Beer with wings, pizza, cake and ice cream. My son Tim (I visited him in Texas a few weeks ago) came home on a 30-day leave last night and since last Sunday was his 26th birthday, we're having a combination Superbowl, Welcome Home Tim and Happy Birthday Tim party at my son Andy's house.

Steaks and, since the Super Bowl is an All-American Game this year, two wines from Silverado Trail in Napa-Dutch Henry Winery: 2001 Chafen Cabernet and that weirdly appealing Monster Pinot from Mount Veeder.

Just flew back home, after an out-of-town trip. I turned on the TV and caught the halftime show with Tom Petty. The Giants are just 4 back and I've not made any headway with my office pool.

My wife had a roasted crispy pork belly and sauteed spinach waiting for me. I was longing for a white wine on my way home from the airport and quickly opened the only white that I had cooling in the refrigerator - a bottle of 1996 Cloudy Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

I started with Gloria Ferrer Royal Cuvee, then switched to Vodka when things began to look sour.

I thought you were talking about animal 'game' too.

I frankly wasn't aware of when the game you were referring to was on until I tried to watch 60 Minutes last night and found it had been moved an hour.

Two bottles of Lucien Albrecht Cremant d' Alsace.
Good thing I was by myself.

Started with a Spanish Cava with veggies and spicey Thai dip. Moved to an '05 Bourgogne with beef stew.
