Casillero del Diablo Gewurztraminer 2006
I was suckered in by the words "Chile" and "Gewurztraminer" on the same label. The $8.00 price tag caught my attention as well.

Okay, imagine if you will putting an Atomic Sour Power candy in your mouth (my kids loved those things). Then sniffing a pineapple and sucking down a gulp of pear juice over the candy. Followed by spitting it all out and gargling with day old rain water. That is the CdD Gewurz experience in a nutshell. Strong pass.

From my experience with inexpensive wines I have learned that $40 plus spent on a Burg-Syrah-Tuscan-Bordeaux is money well spent. My extremely broad conclusion is that most wines under $10 suck. Fairvalley Pinotage being the lone exception.

Sam, you`re missing the Oscars. Crazy Celine was just on...I heard!
Wonder if 60mins has been dumped!!

Dunno whats going on at CdD, some of their wines recently have been bizarre. Heads up though on the Cono Sur Pinot Noir "Vision".
