Every year there is a barrel-tasting of Rieslings from R. Weil/Rheingau at the end of february in the famous berlin wineshop Wein&Glas . Yesterday I could taste all Rieslings from QbA to TBA from the vintage 2007. Große Gewächse were not included. The wines from Weil were great, also on the Kabinett-level from dry to off-dry and showed a huge acidity.
Note: The vintage 2007 is outstanding in all german wine-growing regions. Some winemaker compare it with the vintage 2001.
2007 R. Weil, "Kiedrich Gräfenberg" Trockenbeerenauslese, Rheingau, Germany
Madness! This sirupy wine is an "elixir of the devil". Breathtaking concentration of flavors........dried fruits, bitter chocolate, toffee. Never-ending length, hours later there was an echo of the flavors on my palate. Every sip produces endorphins. A masterpiece and without any doubt a 100pts. wine. Once in your life you should taste this wine. A sweet wine for eternity.........
Later the week, I will publish more TNs.
