2005 La Putere Feteasca Neagra - Viile Timisului; vin cu indicatie geografica sec

A nice Romanian red made from Romania's native vinifera, Feteasca Neagra - the name means Black Maiden. Deep crimson-scarlet with a brilliant ruby core. Dusty, juicy-berry/sawdust nose with faint peppery spice notes in the background; a well-composed nose; in every way a balanced food wine, and quite Italianesque. Spicy replays on the mid-palate with fantastic grainy/grippy tannins from the mid-palate into the finish. Properly dry and chalky on the finish; warm and balanced. A very good value for $10 USD.

Hum, that sounds interesting. Might be something I would enjoy!
