Not a wine I bought per se, but rather a gift. I typically drink Californian Chardonnay with reserve (pun intended), but thankfully my reservations were not all that necessary this time around.
13.5% alc./vol. Nice, youthful greenish-straw hue; a tiny bit of effervescence along the side of the glass. Nice pineapple and coconut, tropical-fruit/oak interplay, albeit with a seam of Granny Smith apple striking it all down the centre and adding a lovely crisp note. My first thought when swirling the wine was "ahhh ... patio season's almost here." Nicely crisp and fruity on the mid-palate with a bit of heat, but otherwise a nice clean pineapply/wood-vanilla-accented finish.
It went well given that things are finally warming up here.
