Vive La France. Bordeaux 2005 est arrivé........
2005 Ch. Beauséjour-Duffau-Lagarrosse, St. Emilion, Bordeaux, France
A beauty! Medium to full-bodied with strong&grip tannins and flavors of blackberry, black cherry, earthiness and a touch of black chocolate. Fedor is right, it is not a monster wine or as massive like some other modern wines from St. Emilion these days. Here we have a more classic style with a certain kind of freshness which suits my palate more and this style is also more food-friendly. Gorgeous length and with a hedonistic, sexy appeal. Great potential for the coming years! Mr. Parker rated this wine 91pts. (WA 176) and interestingly at the beginning 94-96pts. (WA 164), Michael Bettane 18pts. and James Suckling/WS 92-94pts. Drinking window 2015-2035.
93+pts.
