about a 1996 Rosemount Balmoral Syrah that was an oaky mess and a 2005 Edmunds St. John Shell and Bone White that was a joy to drink, but couldn't bring myself to do it. Glad I now have none of the former and 5 of the latter in my cellar.

Somebody had too much fiber this morning!
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Where are the scores?? We want numbers!!
The Balmoral '96, this being one of the early ones, was a pretty classic and wonderful Oz Shiraz in its day (92 pts). But last time I had it a few yrs ago, it had pretty much cracked up and fallen apart, w/ nothing but a ton of goopy oak left (78 pts).

I had one of the early Balmorals when it was young, and I thought it was an oaky mess then.
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...
