Champagne Duval-Leroy Brut NV

Good, hefty champagne that we've had the pleasure to drink on two occasions now.

Color: Light straw with lots of tiny, fast moving bubbles.

Nose: Yeast, lemon, and cocoa.

Taste: Rich bread and nuts with zippy citrus mixed in. Great lingering finish.

Definitely recommended at the locally available $32 price point. Better than several of the bigger name Champagnes that I've purchased for twice the price.

Carol Duval makes great champagne, but she's a terrible label designer.

One of my go-to champagnes.....and if you like this, try the Paris bottling....very cool Leroy Niemann blue/gold bottle for about the same price....and with a lovely hint of green apples.....just delicious....
Cheers, Jim

Thanks Jim. I will look for the Paris bottling, but I don't remember seeing it at the local wine mart.
