Hi Everyone:
Robin has been kind enough to let me tell you all about a new wine tasting event in Santa Monica, California that I think you all will like.
Beginning on Monday, June 2nd (which is fast approaching!), MA'KAI Restaurant and Lounge is starting a wine tasting and wine pairing night. It will take place the first Monday of each month.
MA'KAI has a new Exec. Chef (formerly of Koi), and we will be bringing in top wine experts who will talk about several different wines and then those wines will be paired with Chef Bailey's dishes. It should be good food, good wine and good people.
Our first tasting (on June 2) will be lead by Laurant Michit. He's a sommelier, and a fine french wine importer. His company is called Vinum Distribution Inc. (I tried their Cote du Rhone last week and it was terrific!) He'll be bringing some great wines.
The cost for the evening is $75pp, which includes the wines and dinner.
