WTN: Trivento Syrah-Malbec Reserve 2005

by Bruce Hayes » Fri May 23, 2008 7:02 pm

Mendoza.

Very dark red in the glass.

Spicy, red licorice, juicy raspberry on the nose.

Viscous, peppery, quite tangy, creamy cherry and rich raspberry fruit, smoky, medium weight, fairly thick, with some alcohol heat toward the end.

Not much on the finish.

Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian).

This was my first wine after a week of illness. It was good to get "back in the saddle." :D

Thanks for the note and welcome back. Doesn't sound like a malbec I should seek out...
