WTN: Peninsula Ridge Inox Chardonnay 2006

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Jun 01, 2008 9:01 am

Niagara Peninsula

Light golden yellow in the glass, with some green tints.

Smooth, rich and honeyed, green apples, pear and lime, refreshing acidity, quite peppery and tangy, perfumed, with a bit of a bitter bite toward the end, which became more pronounced with time.

A mouthwatering, peppery, citrus rind finish.

An okay wine, but nothing I would rush out and buy again.

Purchased at $12.75 (Canadian).

Great note, Bruce.

You'll notice that I tried their '06 Merlot more closely again this weekend (first TN posted on it). An alright wine, but not a particularly good Merlot. Just on the right side of drinkable!

I have been impressed with their SB and Viognier.
