Small family owned winery near Yountville. Fun place to taste wines-it just has a nice, inviting, welcoming feeling.

Highlights: 2006 Sauvignon Blanc-big brash, New Zealandish in character. Good summer wine.

2006 Viognier Napa Valley-much lighter and less alcoholic than many California Viogniers that I've had. Downright refreshing, with good peach and citrus flavors.

2004 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. This is, to be honest, one of my absolute favorite Napa Valley Cabernets. Very balanced, with nice black fruit and certainly some ripeness, but good acidity. I just love the leather, cedar, and tobacco secondary flavors that are already apparant in this wine. 94 points! I have three bottles left of the 2003 that are beginning to sing now!
