WTN: `01 Cuvee Privee Cotes de Provence, Domaine Sorin.

Purchased 2 yrs ago for $34 Cdn. Well-known Bandol producer, 50% Syrah, 35% Mourvedre, 15% Carignan.
Wax capsule, soft well soaked cork, 14% alc. Vinified in rotary casks sounds interesting. Opened 2hrs but not decanted.

Color. Medium cherry, not a lot of depth remaining. Fair amount of light bricking on a watery rim.

Nose. Some slight veggie tones blow off. Cherry and plum, good whiff of alcohol at first but no sign of oxidization. "Some violets here" thought fellow taster.

Palate. Still has some soft tannins, black fruits, cherry, raspberry. Developes brief hints of some sweet flashes, think good idea to drink up now. "Some herb here on a shortish finish..think over the top" was a comment.
Some blackberry overnight and licorice from the mourvedre. Did not hold up that well after 24 hrs.
