WTN: 2001 Tollot-Beaut Corton Bressandes

With grilled tuna, a lovely nose of cherries, shiny dark ruby color, sweet on the attack, a little sour on the finish at first bit that quickly dissipates. Texture is elegant and the wine is focused enough to stand up on its own, but structured enough to go with any food. I like a lot.

And this is showing well now?

I imagine many Cortons from 2001 still need time?

But then Tollot-Beaut is a bit forward?

A lovely wine. Picked up four bottles at Garnet last year and opened the first in December. Left the bottle open for three hours before pouring, and it was delicious right off the bat. Highly recommended. Have a couple of 2002s as well, but will probably wait longer to open these.

Rahsaan,
My experience with Corton and with Tollot Beaut is limited. It was showing well for a 2001

Thanks for notes.
There was a time (late 90s) when I became a little less enamored over T-B (the Chorey used to be a real fave when I first got interested in Burg), but seems like there's a lot of agreement of a resurgence starting 00/01.
My limited experience is that while most 2001 CdN need time (though many never seemed to really close, all seem to have long life ahead), most of the good (non-hail) CdB are fairly forward. But based on a very small sample.
