WTN: Mas Des Bressades Cuvee Tradition Blanc 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:26 am

AC Costieres De Nimes
Cyril Mares

A blend of Grenache Blanc and Roussanne.

Bright yellow in the glass.

Spicy, bright, citrus fruit on the nose.

Spicy, floral, honeyed, bitter grapefruit rind, apricot, orange, medium weight, peppery, creamy, a real acidic bite. With time, the floral notes became quite strong and annoying.

Britter citrus rind and apricot on the finish.

A rather extreme style that won't appeal to everyone. It didn't impress me.

Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian).

Pity, does not sound like something this white wine honcho would enjoy!
