I will not be able to make it this week. We had a weekend of tornadoes and terrible flooding so I will be helping neighbors with the clean up efforts. Thank goodness the power is back on so I do not have to drink warm beer while helping out.

Where are you? There has been bad weather all over, although I hear Indiana has been hardest hit. We in the DC area are still cleaning up from a storm on Wednesday night that kept me from chat. Our basement has flooded twice. My wife is out getting a new pump as we speak. It has now settled into hazy, hot, and humid. I wish you and your neighbors well.

I woulda been here, but we were making our way back from a diamond-hunting weekend (we didn't find any) in Arkansas. At chat time, I think we were on an unnamed dirt road somewhere near Lake Greeson, after Gail said "wonder where that road goes", I said "let's find out", and we went to see. Got so far out in the boonies that I had no cell service at all, and came out at the neatest primitive campground by the edge of the lake, and miles from pavement.

But Anders ... with no CP or JB...... well, I've never seen a bloke with the wind, well and truly, taken from his sails. At one time I thought I sighted a little tear forming in an Anders eye, another instant a little whimper that, for a fleeting second, I thought may have been a lonely cry ..... but Anders, the true Viking he is, battled on regardless.
