WTN: A.J. Adam 2007 Riesling Kabinett

by Bill Hooper » Tue Jun 10, 2008 11:16 pm

I couldn’t wait to open this baby (probably rushed it a bit but I bought a case so why not?) This is brilliant Kabinett. It is incredibly and deliciously perfumed; so summery, like dandelion, sunflower and clover. Yellow apple, orange, lemon zest and brioche. As it warms up the steel wakes up. It is so much more classically delicate (right now) than the 2006 -feathery and elegant, but with fangs. There seem to be almost two waves of acidity, a quick sharp slice followed by a sustaining searing. 8% alc $23

I did not get around to tasting this particular wine ysterday (I was focused on the producers tables). Too bad.
