1994 Jos Christoffel Jr. Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese.
-Brilliant medium gold with deep gold edges
-Light to medium weight in the glass
-Lots of earth tones and diesel that seem to mask some underlying fruit, maybe pineapples or green apples?
-mature Riesling fruit, lemon lime citrus, fat and juicy melons, peaches and white flowers that go dry and cleans your palate for another taste. Lots of acid sweetness balance to hold this together for 14 years. I like how the flavors are so intense and finish so clean leaving just a scent...nice

Intersting note.

I've had a lot of the late release Christoffel Jr. bottlings, and they just don't hit the high notes for me. They have perfect provenance, so they seem to always show true to type, but they lack depth and soul for my taste.
