WTN: Bellingham Shiraz 2005

With a "dash" (not sure, exactly, how much that might be) of Viognier.

Coastal Region.

Dark red in the glass.

Smoky, bacon on the nose.

Soft in the mouth, vibrant and rich cherry and blackberry fruit, spicy, smoky, lightly perfumed, good acidity, viscous and slightly creamy, medium weight, good tangy acidity.

Tangy, drying finish.

Quite a nice wine, particularly with BBQ-ed food.

Purchased at $13.85 (Canadian).

I guessed it would be in the 2-3% range, which is becoming quite common these days. I just checked their web site, and confirmed it is 2%. I could not determine, however, if it is co-fermented or blended after the fact.
