Revisited this wine last night w/ grilled BBQ Brisket:
1. EaglePointRanchVnyd PetiteSirah MendocinoCnty (14.7%; http://www.EaglePointRanch.com) 2005: Black color; some Am.oak intense licorice/peppery/PS/boysenberry slight earthy/dusty lovely nose; tart very strong boysenberry/licorice/peppery/blackberry/PS rather tannic/hard bit clunky/earthy/dusty flavor; long hard/tannic blackberry/licorice/peppery/PS some Am.oak finish; pretty hard/tannic and needs 3-10 yrs of age; $??, but way too little I'm sure.

UnPetite BP:
1. This wine is made by our very own CaseyHartlip. The wine has barely budged that I can tell from when we first had it on release a yr ago. It has a lot of aromatics and perfume for PS, a grape I find tends to be on the coarse & clunky side. The wine has great structure and clearly made for the long haul. Reminds me a lot of the recent Ridge PSs. There are 2 PSs that are a must but for me every yr...the EaglePoint and the Cedarville...both well-made/structured PSs that are great values.

I gotta find me some of these EPR wines. Def. among my favorites at last year's Taste of Menodcino.
