WTN: In which I change my mind about Nouveau Bojo

2007 Brun "L'Ancien" Beaujolais Nouveau
Fished out of a sale bin at $9, couldn't resist a belated taste of Brun's last release of Beaujolais Nouveau. I've not had it before, and DeBouef's version had pretty much permanently poisoned my interest in the category.

But oh, how wrong we can be! This wine was just sensational. Served chilled, harmonious fresh red fruit with tons of white pepper and a little sweet basil notes backed up with perfect acidity made a perfect wine pairing for a summer-lite version of the old English classic, bangers and mash. There were more in the bin that I didn't take, and how sorry am I about that.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
