WTN: Cheapy '05 Bordeaux

2005 DBR Barons de Rothchild Collection, Negociants, Bordeaux (approx $10 Whole Paycheck). Alcohol level: 13%. A ready to go Bordeaux from the '05 vintage. We would guess that it might be available at most Whole Foods stores. 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Beautiful claret red color. Bright red and black fruits on the nose and upfront. More fruit with a hint of tobacco in the complex middle. Perfectly smooth tannin. Very nice finish.

We matched it with Porterhouse Steak grilled over charcoal and oak chips, baked potato, and salad with blue cheese dressing. Wonderful way to spend a Saturday night.

Not bad at all for $10, and at Whole Paycheck to boot!
